Sunday's are for Sharing...

Have you ever read the ingredient list on the grocery store coffee creamer container?
W-O-W-Z-A!
'nugh said...
I.make.ours.now...

Thanks to the efforts of this, "Deliciously Organic" site's author
and the,
Bless her heart!!!

My first batch was,
Peppermint / Mocha = duh, of course it was!
It's like Christmas in a cup,
it makes me joyful, yes.it.does!

Went on a "date" with my groom
to my fave
"boutique"
grocer
Metropolitan Market!!!
La-huv that place!
We strolled the isles checking out all the interesting food items-
Items other grocers just do not have, some healthy, some not so much- :)

Since our motto is now,
"If it can't spoil, we don't eat it"
via Seattle PI

I need resources for such items & Met Mrkt has awesome fresh & jarred items
to choose from-
Trader Joe's is always my first stop
(as well as local Farmer's Mrkts, seasonal = bummer)
but...
if TJ's doesn't have something
guar·an·tee
Met Mrkt will.

Soooo anywhoooo
the recipes for creamer call for;
whole milk
&
heavy cream

...yes, your read that correctly, i said WHOLE MILK & HEAVY CREAM

the crowd gasps in disbelief...  :)
How many of you just rolled your eyes, which are also now glazed over & are no longer interested???

That's okay, I was you,
I did the research & made the decision based on
medical proof that it's better for our health to consume those than
the fake stuff...
You can do the research too, you'll be surprised, just like I was, then you're eyes won't be glazed over and you'll click over to the website for the uber yummy
creamer recipes - promise!  :)

And sooo
I purchased
yummy
whole milk & heavy cream
in A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E glass bottles (insert squeals of delight here - husband loved that)
from
in
Lynden WA
(supporting local biz - bonus)

Please take a minute to watch the short video's
on their site, very informative-
(and you get a peek at the working cow gals) :)
You can call it "research" as you look into the
benefits to you & your fam of eating/drinking
 organic dairy!

BTW ...
did you know you can easily make your own butter at home???
True story, who knew?  :)
Can you tell i am new to all this healthy eating & cooking stuff!  HA!
You can skim the cream off that heavy cream (in the cute glass bottle)
and use it to whip up butter - awesome!

Go HERE
Kristen's awesome blog, "Food Renegade"
 for the "how-to" on butter
and
a ton of other helpful info!!!
Oh BTW...
You can be one too,  click HERE for more info!

Go HERE for more GREAT info about FAT & why we Americans are scared to death of it & getting fatter b'cuz of it...
p.s. there's tons of other good info on this site too!

Wisdom from Oswald Chambers

“When the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth?” We all have faith in good principles, in good management, in good common sense, but who amongst us has faith in Jesus Christ? Physical courage is grand, moral courage is grander, but the man who trusts Jesus Christ in the face of the terrific problems of life is worth a whole crowd of heroes. The Highest Good, 544 R

Courageous

6And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction."

Malachi 4:6

We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous

We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away

Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

This is our resolution
Our answer to the call
We will love our wives and children
We refuse to let them fall

We will reignite the passion
That we buried deep inside
May the watchers become warriors
Let the men of God arise

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Seek justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly with your God

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

We were made to be courageous
Lord, make us courageous
 “No, thank you,
I much prefer to be on the mountaintop with God.”
